Can't sleep? Try some Youtube
Many people in the course of their lives will probably suffer from insomnia or have trouble sleeping at some point. I personally never had trouble sleeping until just recently, and in search of ways beyond taking sleeping pills or drinking warm milk before bed I stumbled upon using Youtube.com as a way to relax myself and fall into a restful sleep.
Why Youtube? Maybe it's because I personally find that certain sounds helps me sleep. Some people have to be isolated in a dark room with no sound or distractions to sleep and if so this article may not be for you.
I checked out Youtube.com one night when I was having trouble sleeping and found a couple of different videos which may or may not work for you as well.
Kipper the Dog
My little sister would watch Kipper on t.v when she was little. It's an adorable cartoon about animals with British accents. It's like Ritalin. My mother used to watch it with her and fall asleep on the couch, because it's just that relaxing. There is something about the soothing sounds of the accents and the lack of flashy animation that makes it something perfect to listen to or watch until you find yourself off in dreamland. And if you can find it on dvd, even better.

Lita
Lita (no last name given) has been billed on youtube.com as the worlds most soothing voice. Most of the video's featuring her voice are short, no longer than a minute, because she has her own website, where you can hear more. For a price. But try to take advantage of all the free Lita that you can on Youtube.com

Mysteriousgoo Whispers
Mysteriousgoo is part of the "whisper community" of youtube. What is the "whisper community"? I really have no idea, other than that this woman with a lovely European accent whispers about everything from her favorite movies and television shows to reading aloud from her favorite books. Whispering, bizarre but true. And snooze inducing, which I love.

I'm so glad you've enjoyed my videos.
I used to love Kipper - a little boy at my primary school (elementary school) had a soft toy Kipper and we all used to take it turns cuddle it. Probably spread a lot of germs but - hey, it was worth it for Kipper!
My mic is broken at the moment but will be making more videos so don't lose patience with me pleeeease.
