True Blood Minus the Real Blood!
At Comic Con, the HBO announced that on September 8, True Blood the beverage will be available for purchase. Currently, you can pre-order True Blood here. True Blood the beverage is described on the website as-
-Meticulously crafted, the Tru Blood Drink is an exact replica of the bottle design as seen on True Blood. The 14oz glass Tru Blood bottle is stained in a rich red, with raised Tru Blood English lettering and matching Japanese Kanji.
-This blood orange flavored soda is slightly tart, lightly sweet and subtly carbonated. Designed to taste great while matching the appearance of Bill’s favorite drink, the drink pours like a regular soda, but with the standing appearance in a glass is stormy and mysterious
The beverage can be pricey though, a 4 pack is $16.00 before shipping & handling and 24 pack is a whopping $ 96.00!
At first, I just imagined bars selling it as a novelty item, and the potential embarrassment of one of your friends ordering a bottle could get you or your friend shunned by a hot girls. But then I thought of the potential it has for True Blood parties and mixing it with a liquor. The HBO homepage has some great names for possible drinks, like the Fangbanger and Death on the Beach. I think you could really have fun mixing and coming up with good names. Anyone have any ideas?
